to cut a long story short, Soloman Eagle was sort of self proclaimed prophet who lived in London at the time of the plague. he said that the plague was sent to punish mankind for their sins and all that. Two days later his wife died. He was last seen disappearing over one of Londons bridges,starck bollock naked,with a vat of boiling fat on his head.
any errors in this description,will be corrected by Ben and Joe,i'm sure,as they know more about this wrong'un than i do

interesting, thanks! are there any books concerning the plague? I've searched for some polish titles but found nothing except some bits&pieces in school's history books.

Martyn's description of Solomon Eagle is pretty much the truth of it. He was a quaker who wanted to be noticed, so took to dancing through the streets naked with the aforementioned pot of burning fat on his head. He did indeed claim to be a prophet and at his largest sermon, proclaimed that the blossoming plague was a pestilence sent from god to punish mankind for their sins. Two days later his wife died of the plague and nobody ever knew what happened to Solomon Eagle after that. I thought he would be an interesting character to write about. For decent books on the plague try the following:
Journal Of The Plague Year by Daniel Defoe
The Great Plague by Stephen Porter
The Diaries of Samuel Pepys
Necropolis by Catherine Arnold
These will be a good starting point!
