Just introducing myself to the board.
*wave*
About myself..
Im a 39yo graphic artist/PC tech from Brisbane, Australia.
Single, no kids.
Been vocalist for a few bands since 1986.
Some favorite bands would be; Orange Goblin, Nebula, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Sabbath, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Devil Driver, Rob Zombie, KoRn, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Isis, Maiden, Helmet, Five Horse Johnson, Entombed, Corrosion of Conformity, BLS, Alabama Thunderpussy, Alice In Chains, ACDC, ZZ Top, White Zombie, Unida, Trivium, Tool, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, The Cult, Tea Party, The Police, The Doors, The Donnas, Slipknot, NIN.. etc etc many more.
I like havin a few beers or 12 in the weekends and cranking up the music.. actually im doing that now ;D
Listening to OG. Have 40 cold VB's in the fridge.. yeh!
Also like to drive around in my car with the windows down blasting OG around the city.. lots of fun.
Especially fun picking up hitch hikers.
Dont drink and drive, and if you drink, dont drive.
Already had one DUI.
Had a good lawyer so its all good again.
Goals:
Looking for some musso's again to start a band to play stoner rock/doom music.. so if theres any guitarist/drummer & bassist's from Brisbane in here, drop me a msg.
Willing to travel if theres girls there.
Im learning guitar atm.. mainly OG and Nebula tabs.
Not good enough to play lead but rythym isnt bad.
They say you are what you eat.
I think that philosophy applies to what you listen to, too.
Lately ive been playing tunes over and over in my head in the stoner rock genre so it must be sinkin' in.
Well thats it.
Looking to make new friends and hang out with a great band in here.
Shoot straight and talk shit.
Been listening to Orange Goblin for the past 8 months and i have to say, i fuckin love it!
Sober, drunk, just woken up, driving. asleep or whatever.. it doesnt matter.
Keep it up lads, ill buy your new album in may when it comes out and spread the gospel... via hitch hikers and red lights. rofl.
Let there be rock!
When are you coming to Australia for a gig?
The 'Big Day Out' would be kool.
Or you can just come to my place for my 40th in December.
Ive got a couple of grand and all the beer you can drink. LOL
Cheers!
